This edition is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Salt Museum – Pomorie.

This edition was developed to answer the enduring interest and frequent questions of visitors to the Salt Museum. Its goal is, based on a variety of documentary material, to tell in an accessible way about the main moments of the history and technology of salt production in Pomorie (Anchialos).

Salt production has been a primary livelihood here for centuries, shaping the unique character and economic prosperity of the town. This tradition, passed down from generation to generation, has left behind a rich cultural legacy, distinct landscapes, specialized tools, and a wealth of historical and ethnographic material. Today, the Salt Museum stands as the guardian of this heritage.
